Constancia Carter received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Spelman College and her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University. She is admitted into the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Before becoming an attorney, Constancia spent nearly a decade in corporate training. Adept at translating industry jargon into every day language, she employs the same skills in Cuadra and Patel’s litigation practice. Her areas of focus include probate litigation (including guardianship/conservatorship and involuntary commitments), commercial litigation, and criminal defense.
Constancia has served on the boards of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA) and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL). She is currently a member of the State Bar of Georgia’s Indigent Defense and Inclusion in the Profession Committees and is beginning her second term as the president of the Criminal Defense Section of the Gwinnett Bar Association.
She serves the community through her membership at Greenforest Community Baptist Church and her membership in Sigma Gamma Rho, Sorority Inc.
